Message from East Goscote Parish Council Chair

East Goscote Parish Council and its Councillors and Officers were deeply saddened to learn about the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II on 8th September 2022, and wishes to extend its heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family.

As the UK’s longest reigning monarch, The Queen died at the age of 96 after 70 years of dedicated service to her country and the Commonwealth.

Book of Condolence

The Council recognises that members of the public will wish to pay their respects and a Book of Condolence has been placed in the library for people to sign.

Other Books of Condolence are available to sign at St. Hilda’s Church, Charnwood Borough Council’s main office in Southfield Road and Loughborough Town Hall.

You can also record a message of condolence on the Royal Family Website.

Advance notice of TTRO on Broome Lane

Network Rail is applying for a temporary traffic regulation order (TTRO) so that they can safely undertake works on the level crossing.

The works are scheduled for:

Saturday 25th April – 22:00 hours till 14:00 hours Sunday 26th April.
Sunday 26th April – 22:00 hours till 05:00 hours Monday 27th April.
Monday 27th April – 22:00 hours till 05:00 hours Tuesday 28th April.
Tuesday 28th April – 22:00 hours till 05:00 hours Wednesday 29th April.

Planned road works at Rearsby will affect traffic by diverting it through East Goscote and Ratcliffe on Wreake and Thrussington.  The estimated dates are 12-13 April 2020.  This is subject to change.

BROOME LANE, EAST GOSCOTE, TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER:-
BROOME LANE, EAST GOSCOTE
Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary
Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.
A temporary road closure is required on Broome Lane from 12th October
2020 for 5 nights.
The works will be undertaken as follows : –
Monday 12th October – 21:00 hours till 06:00 hours Tuesday 13th October.
Tuesday 13th October – 21:00 hours till 00:00 hours Wednesday 14th October.
Wednesday 14th October – 21:00 hours till 06:00 hours Thursday 15th October.
Thursday 15th October – 21:00 hours till 06:00 hours Friday 16th October.
Friday 16th October – 21:00 hours till 06:00 hours Saturday 17th October.
The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public
safety to allow Network Rail undertake track replacement works on the
level crossing.
The proposed alternative diversion route will be via :- Main Street (Ratcliffe
on the Wreake), Thrussington Road (Ratcliffe on the Wreake), Ratcliffe
Road (Thrussington), Rearsby Road (Rearsby), Station Road (Rearsby),
Brookside, Brook Street (Rearsby), Melton Road (East goscote) and vice
versa.
Leicestershire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused
during these works.
