Charnwood's Half Term Holiday Activity Programme

Charnwood Borough Council’s Sport and Active Recreation Team is offering a range of exciting opportunities designed to keep everyone entertained this February half term.

This February they have yet another exciting programme of activities planned to include the very popular horse riding, den building, multi-sports and arts and crafts. There will also be love family fit, yoga and laser quest as requested by you! With 2 activities on offer every day, there is something for everybody this half term!

Advance notice of TTRO on Broome Lane

Network Rail is applying for a temporary traffic regulation order (TTRO) so that they can safely undertake works on the level crossing.

The works are scheduled for:

Saturday 25th April – 22:00 hours till 14:00 hours Sunday 26th April.
Sunday 26th April – 22:00 hours till 05:00 hours Monday 27th April.
Monday 27th April – 22:00 hours till 05:00 hours Tuesday 28th April.
Tuesday 28th April – 22:00 hours till 05:00 hours Wednesday 29th April.

Planned road works at Rearsby will affect traffic by diverting it through East Goscote and Ratcliffe on Wreake and Thrussington.  The estimated dates are 12-13 April 2020.  This is subject to change.

BROOME LANE, EAST GOSCOTE, TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER:-
BROOME LANE, EAST GOSCOTE
Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary
Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.
A temporary road closure is required on Broome Lane from 12th October
2020 for 5 nights.
The works will be undertaken as follows : –
Monday 12th October – 21:00 hours till 06:00 hours Tuesday 13th October.
Tuesday 13th October – 21:00 hours till 00:00 hours Wednesday 14th October.
Wednesday 14th October – 21:00 hours till 06:00 hours Thursday 15th October.
Thursday 15th October – 21:00 hours till 06:00 hours Friday 16th October.
Friday 16th October – 21:00 hours till 06:00 hours Saturday 17th October.
The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public
safety to allow Network Rail undertake track replacement works on the
level crossing.
The proposed alternative diversion route will be via :- Main Street (Ratcliffe
on the Wreake), Thrussington Road (Ratcliffe on the Wreake), Ratcliffe
Road (Thrussington), Rearsby Road (Rearsby), Station Road (Rearsby),
Brookside, Brook Street (Rearsby), Melton Road (East goscote) and vice
versa.
Leicestershire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused
during these works.

Temporary traffic regulation order, resurfacing works.

‘Dear Sir/Madam

ADVANCE NOTICE OF A TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER.

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is to be made for the following locations: A607

Syston Northern Bypass, Melton Road, A607 Rearsby Bypass, Rearsby Road, Queniborough

Roundabout, 2 Layby’s on A607 Melton Road and A607 Melton Road (see attached plan).

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council safely undertake

carriageway resurfacing works.

The TTRO will incorporate temporary road closures and temporary layby closures.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of 10 nights (20:00 till

06:00 each night) commencing on the 08th February 2021.

A Press Release will be issued to confirm these details approximately 2 weeks prior to the

works commencing.

Public Spaces Protection Order – Dog Control Charnwood Borough Council 2016

TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURES

TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURES OF: I66, I74 REARSBY: I73 EAST GOSCOTE: H52, H59, H53, AND H35 HOBY WITH ROTHERBY

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to the temporary weekend overnight closures at the above locations.

The closures are required either side of each of the pedestrian level crossings.

  • Footpath I66, Rears by, will be closed overnight 16th – 17th April + 22nd – 23rd April + 23rd – 24th April 2017.
  • Footpath I74, Rears by, will be closed overnight 22nd April – 23rd April + 23rd April – 24th April 2017.
  • Footpath H52, Hobby with Rother by, will be closed overnight 29th – 30th April + 30th April – 01st May + 06th May – 07th May 2017.
  • Footpath I73, East Roscoe, will be closed overnight 09th – 10th April + 15th – 16th -17th April + 22nd April – 23rd April 2017.
  • Footpath H59, Hoby with Rotherby, will be closed overnight 29th April – 30th April + 30th April – 01st May + 06th May – 07th May 2017.
  • Footpath H53, Hoby with Rotherby, will be closed overnight 29th April – 30th April + 30th April – 01st May + 06th May – 07th May 2017.
  • Footpath H35, Hoby with Rotherby, will be closed overnight 30th April – 01st May + 06th May – 07th May + 07th May – 08th May +13th May – 14th May + 14th May – 15th May 2017.

The closures will be in place between approximately 21:00 hours till 11:00 hours each night.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented to safely allow Network Rail undertake essential renewal works at all the pedestrian level crossings.

During the closure, the alternative diversion route will be signed on site.

Temporary closure of Melton Road at The Millstones from 15th July for 6 weeks

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is to be made for the following location: Melton Road, Millstone Lane, Syston and Queniborough

The purpose of the TTRO is to facilitate David Wilson Homes with new sewer connections at the new development.

The TTRO will incorporate temporary road closures, commencing on 15th July 2017. The actual duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of 6 weeks.

During the works the parking bays near the entrance to the shopping Centre on Melton Road will be suspended for a length of 20 metres.

A prohibition of parking and loading will be enforced at the suspended parking bays near the entrance to the shopping centre for a length of 20 metres.

The diverted route will be via Syston Road or Rearsby Road, Barkby Road to Syston Grange traffic lights and Barkby Road, Syston and vice versa.

Temporary closure of Station Road, Rearsby 23rd August

 

Station Road will be closed on 23rd August 2017 from 22:30 hours till 05:30 hours the following morning.

The road will be closed either side of the level crossing.

During the works there will be no access for pedestrians or emergency vehicles.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety to allow Centurion Site Services undertake works on the level crossing.

During the restricted period, the alternative diversion route will be signed on site.
